Final Report: 2005 Resolutions
Well, here's my list of this past year's new year's resolutions. Let's see how I did, shall we?!...

1. Go to Barcelona and kick some international butt
DONE! 2nd place in a pool of 4 where the level was so low my grandma could have played? We'll give me a C.

2. Graduate from college (finally)
DONE! Magna Cum Laude! I get an A.

3. Get in better shape
Hmmm... 2 sprained ankles in 1 year, the last one resulting in 2 full months of total inactivity. Balanced by tons of walking, though. Not so good. I almost fail with a D.

4. Kick ass at the Secret Service
Don't know what "kick ass" entials in this situation. Tons of fun and good work, but not consistantly. I get a B.

5. Get on to the newest PBS " _______ House" show
FAILURE! Didn't even apply. That's a big fat stinkin' F.

6. Get into Oxford (for real this time)
DONE! Much to my shock! Turns out this goal wasn't as hard as I've imagined, but I still get an A.

7. Get qualified for Peace Corps
FAILURE! I'm still horridly underqualified and put no effort into this one. F.

8. Ace some LSATs
FAILURE! Didn't even bother looking up the test dates. F.

9. Prove myself worthy playing A in USAV (vball stuffs)
Tough call. Spent most of the season as back-up for other people. But I feel I pulled my weight. B.

10. Get either last summer's or last fall's crushes/obsessions to fall head over heels desperately in love with me
HAHAHahahahahah!!!!!! Not even close! One even managed to get a new, steady girlfriend. F.

11. Start developing kooky adventure plan for 2006 in order to continue my avoidance of the real world
I'm saved by using the word "start." The plan is not complete by any means, but also is not particularly kooky, and I still have to face the real world. D.

SUMMARY:
1.C
2.A
3.D
4.B
5.F
6.A
7.F
8.F
9.B
10.F
11.D

OVERALL PERFORMANCE:
GPA scoring: 1.63 = D+
Pass Fail scoring: 64% = PASS (but just barely)

Okay, barely passing isn't good. But, to be fair, there were a LOT of resolutions, and most of them were unrealistic. So I'm overall feeling pretty good about all this. Going by cheesy elementary school grading, I am SATISFACTORY. Goal for next year is to score GOOD (I would shoot for EXCELLENT, but I'm trying to stay realistic here).

2006 resolutions coming soon...

I think in fairness to yourself, some of your goals couldn't happen if others did. For example, you couldn't get into the peace corps, go to oxford and be on the PBS house. Try the conjunction "or" this year to help get a higher grade.

Hey I actually posted, check it out and let me know.

Happy New Year to all!!
